Tender, succulent morsels of news for you…
- Nice story about the end of Art Kehoe’s exile from Miami.
- So far, the Pac-12 hasn’t been able to entice ESPN into throwing big TV money at it.
- Mark Cuban has formed a limited liability company. For some reason, that’s being treated as big news.
- Somehow I’m not surprised to learn that on average it takes the NCAA 11 months from the time an investigation is launched until the offending school receives a notice of allegations.
- Two members of the Idaho Board of Education voted against giving Boise State’s Chris Peterson a $35,000 bonus and $50,000 raise. Tough crowd.
- Meet Clarence Clemons, talented college offensive lineman who still loves the game.
- Arkansas State now has Josh Jarboe and a Kiffin in its ranks (h/t Chip Towers). What could possibly go wrong?
Maybe Jarboe can teach Kiffin that no one bothers stealing CDs anymore.

That Art Kehoe story just put a big smile on my face. What a great story. This sport’s a big business, and a lot of people rightfully treat it that way. But there are still people who truly love these schools they’re working and playing for, and Coach Golden gets a big plus in my book for bringing Kehoe home.

Great story from Andy Staples, too.

Anybody know if CMR interviews/considered interviewing Kehoe when Callaway left after the 06 season?
They obviously were contemporaries.

Arkansas is some state….all that and Petrino, too……and people point fingers at Alabama.

Arkansas is a mix of northern Louisiana (without any of the charm) and southern Missouri (without any of the mid-west ethic).
They do, however, have the Lord God bird…and Bobby Petrino.

“Are the good times really over for good” asked Merle. Maybe, when it comes to the glory days of coaching contracts. Hard to imagine this not becoming a target with state budgets falling under the microscopes. I know all portions of a coach’s contract aren’t paid from state funds, but they are a visible target in these days of debt and budget crisis.
