Here comes the (bye) weekend.

Your injury update heading into the Vandy game:

My advice:  take two weeks and get ready for the Florida game.

That last line about Kendall Milton is about as “I don’t think that word means what you think it means” as it gets: “He’s probably probable, but I don’t know if he’s going to be able to play or not.”

Not to be too snarky, but I think that means he is “questionable.”

Injured players have a way of staying on Kirby’s “probably probable” list for many weeks.

  4. Carter isn’t even practicing? Seems doubtful he’ll even be back for the Florida game, at least not meaningful snaps.

Dang, let’s hope that this doesn’t turn into another Daniels situation where one doc says play and another says don’t (dunno if it’s true but we read all kinds of talk on here last year about it.)

Uncle Ron’s sorcery needs to turn it up a notch these next few weeks.

I’d like to think that they’re being extremely cautious with Carter. They know what they have with him and it’s vital that he’s with us down the stretch.

Should be no need to play any of these guys.

  8. This is Kirby’s way of saying, “we’re resting our starters for the Vandy game…”

    • I hope so. TN is the game I really hope to have the defensive guys back for. I think Robinson will pick up the slack from Milton.

Where is Sevaughn Clark? Hasn’t played since Oregon when he had one 4-yd. catch. Last year he was our good garbage time RB who came in when Edwards got tired. He hurt? Suspended?

Given the issues with AD and Arian being aboe to stay healthy, I hope we use the next few weeks to find an alternative WR who can take the lid off opposing defenses. Seems like Blaylock has the speed and can certainly catch.

I think Kirby meant to say, “Quit asking me about players. Just sit back and watch the show.” “Oh yeah, and quit asking dumbass questions designed to fit whatever narrative you think you want to write about.” “I fucking hate you people.”

Only question is if Bennett will be sharp and throw for some big yards and TDs in the first half so that Beck and BVG might also get to, you know, throw the ball. But the thing is, Bennett was around the Fromm era enough to have learned from Jake… If you can play with some level of competence but be willing to sacrifice some stats by missing a few throws, you can keep the game closer for longer and prevent your competition from getting in the game until it is too late for them to run the offense and make a few throws.

We need folks back. Rest as many as you can, round out playing time, and get ready to rumble in the second half of the season.
