Tale of the tape

Looking at the stats, the Dawgs turned in a dominant fourth-quarter performance that produced the win.

The question that begs, of course, is where was everyone during the first three quarters.

The return of an old favorite

Hey, there.

Said outside linebacker Nolan Smith: “We’re going to get everybody’s best shot. We’ve seen it with Bama and Texas. They gave us their best shot.”

Fourth random Sunday thought

Remember those intangibles I assured everyone were the key to yesterday’s game?  Well, if I had seen this before the game…

… I would have told you to stuff those intangibles in a bag and burn them.  That’s not the kind of thing a focused, mature team gets involved in before an SEC road game.

Second random Sunday thought

I have to give credit to ESPN’s Cole Cubelic for pointing out that Georgia changed its run blocking scheme in the second half and gained traction in doing so.  He even got Smart to agree with him in the post-game interview.

The stats speak for themselves.

First random Sunday thought

If the SEC office were really on its game, Darnell Washington ought to win the Offensive Player of the Week award — tough catches, even tougher blocking, you name it.  The Dawgs don’t win the game without his production.

Easily the best game of The Displacer™’s career.

Perspective

If you’re feeling somewhat down about last night’s game… well, just imagine how Pitt’s Pat Narduzzi feels this morning.
