Here we go again. “Pay no attention to what you see on the field. There IS slight statistical improvement.”

“Our last opponent’s RB got knocked out the game — he was gassed from running up and down the field…in the FIRST quarter! ”

“Hard to argue our defense played well in the second half when they let Georgia run the last 8 minutes off the clock. Not exactly dominant by any reasonable standard.:

  3. Saban and Sexton are working this for all it’s worth with the old good cop/bad cop routine. I’m no fortune teller but I see a big raise in Saint Nick’s future.

Quayvon & me both dug the Ducks getting stomped. What fun it is to watch a team that always runs up the score stand around with tears in their eyes as their run-amuck offense gets manhandled the whole game. F88k the D88ks.

  5. “Alabama lured Saban from the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, ending five weeks of denials and two days of deliberation. Saban, who two weeks ago declared “I’m not going to be the Alabama coach,” accepted the Tide’s job offer job and abandoned his attempt to rebuild the Dolphins after only two seasons.”

“We need to have a take-notice game,” Drew said. “So no matter what happens, people are going to look back and say, ‘That defense played a heck of a game.’ We’ve got to have a take-notice game.”

Oh please God…next week, Ray, next week.

    • If anyone would have told me at the beginning of 2013 that we would have losses against Vandy and Missouri and nervous about Auburn I would have chuckled. Especially if they would have included wins against uSC and Florida in that prediction. Yet here we are. Desperate to win these last four.

The SEC nearly always defies detailed and surface preconceptions, don’t ya know? It’s why it is hard to invest energies in supporting any other league.

… and, of course, the Striped Shirts tend to add a neat conspiratorial overtone to the product.

  7. Mack Browns contract is all the way to the year 2020. UT must have subbed those negotiations out to uT.

The real question at FAU seems to me, whether or not Pellini rides a motorcycle on sunny afternoons.

Anyone can say what they want about front loaded schedule and all, but by my reckoning when the dust clears UGa may play 10 (probably 9) bowl teams! That right there is stupefying.

I love this part of the morale article…

Durkin said that middle linebacker Antonio Morrison is not the player who missed the assignment that led to UGA tailback Todd Gurley’s 73-yard touchdown on a screen pass last Saturday.

“That wasn’t Morrison. It was not,” Durkin said. “It was an error in coverage on it. That’s on all of us. Our defense, coaches, all of us all together. We didn’t get it done. We actually got the look we wanted, and it was looking good before the snap.”

the funny thing is Gary D in the booth talked about how Aaron saw exactly what he was looking for and checked in to the throw to TG3.

I pray this coaching stays at UF for a long time. I can only hope they strive to get more looks like that because as great a talent as TG3 is i am pretty sure 22, 15, Chubb, or Michel also would have taken that pass to the end zone given how wide open the middle of the field was.

I think maybe no one down in Hog Town has a clear picture of much. Because if they term what AM-to-Gurley did to them a “screen pass” then I am in fact Ghengis Khan. (And I’m pretty sure that just the O-neg. blood doesn’t get me that title).

Being a Stones fan, I wonder if Nick Saban has time to look at these pitchers.

From what I saw last night, UGA needs to draw Oklahoma in a bowl somewhere. Big Game Bob’s offense looked more impotent than FU. And that team beat Notre Dame and was ranked in the Top 10? Drumbeats should be loud in Norman this week as the natives have to restless.

One other observation, Mariota shot down the draft list last night, amazing what applying some pressure to a QB can do in exposing flaws. I have seen similar sign with McCarron, makes you appreciate the job Aaron has one over his time at UGA with mediocre, and some times bad, protection in so many games in his four years. Mariota had the Bambi in the head lights look most of the game

That may be the best squat shot ever of Boom in prolonged thought as to why DJ his DC is smiling during the first half of the Georgia game. Images of Boom observing DJ during the last 8 minutes and 16 seconds of the game have not yet been released to the public.

you jest, but you should see how stupid/reckless students are around moving vehicles. It really challenges all the sunshine pumping about how “smart” UGA students are now a days.
