USC to Texas: you didn’t beat us. We cheated!

  2. Read the comments after Dodd’s article. There are some serious folks in denial on that thread. The coach and the betting are what are stunning. One more reason to just give it up and go NFL.
And yes, I do believe it is rampant at all conferences and at all levels. How does either Mt. Union or Wisconsin Whitewater win 9 of the 10 past Div. 111 championships. Must be the great academics.

I would like to know how a coach, at the beginning of the season, can know which teams he’s going to beat by the spread…which may not even be set yet? Cause they sure don’t seem to cover the spread in my Fabris Pool picks!!!!

Games should be forfeited, not vacated. Yes, that includes State Penn, USC, and especially State Penn.

Has Alabama not punted this year? Or, were they all fair caught? I couldn’t find them on the list and couldn’t find the Coke bottle to ask. They have the best punter in CFB and he didn’t punt in a defensive game like FSU? Maybe Little Nicky just doesn’t time for that sheet.

I find the $650K offer to a single HS kid hard to believe. I don’t question the hundred dollar handshakes, or the jobs for family, maybe a car, but $650K hard cash? Where would he keep it, and how would he handle it? I can see how Cecil Newton could put $200K to work for himself, but an 18 year old kid living around teammates who steal earbuds, tennis shoes, etc.?

Brian Kelly is a douchebag. I know it’s fashionable to mock the media, but there was nothing wrong with the reporter’s question. I figure he’ll be back to coaching some FCS team in a year or so. If he doesn’t like the question, he should win more.
